VILLA - FORT LAUDERDALE

This villa is located in a highly desired neighborhood in the city of Fort Lauderdale. Since the location is within the hot/humid climate region of the country, the main objective of design was to orient the building in such a way to maximize natural ventilation by the prevailing wind direction in the region. The other dominating element in this project is the adequate amount of overhangs in various shapes and sizes over the large glazing walls to prevent the building to heat up by the direct solar gain through the glazing systems.
